The scope of the talk was a glance into the introduction of self-organization at my former employer, Europace AG. In 2016, we started the transition towards self-organization – Holacracy and Sociocracy in particular.
Abstract Who is the one?
For more than 8 years, the teams at Europace worked with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban. We learned a lot and developed our understanding and mindset of “agile”. Since 2015 we asked ourselves what will happen after “agile”. Therefore, we started experiments with certain aspects of Holacracy. We iteratively improved based on our learnings and used our vision of self-organisation to guide us through these times.
This talk shares insights and failures we encountered in our daily work. It should provide support and show possibilities, as well as invite for an exchange of experiences. It contains examples from our experiments which are spread in the broad area of responsibility and decision-making. Furthermore, it not only covers technical perspectives or prioritization but also recruiting, employer branding or salary finding.
